Terms of Service
Effective
These terms govern your use of MotoMynt. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What MotoMynt is
MotoMynt is a marketplace. We connect vehicle owners with independent detailing businesses, handle scheduling and payment, and provide the tools both sides use to communicate. We do not perform detailing work ourselves and we do not employ the detailers on the platform. Each detailing business is an independent contractor responsible for its own work, its own insurance, its own licensing, and its own tax obligations.
Accounts
You must be 18 or older. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Customer accounts sign in with a code sent to a mobile number; business accounts sign in with an email address and password, with a second factor sent by text. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has access.
Bookings and payment
- Prices are set by each detailing business, not by MotoMynt. What you see before you book is what that business charges for your vehicle.
- Payment is authorised when you book and captured when the work is done. Card details are handled by Stripe; MotoMynt never receives your full card number.
- Custom quotes at or above $500 collect a 25% deposit when you accept, with the balance charged on completion.
- Tips are optional, go entirely to the detailer, and carry no platform fee.
Cancellations and no-shows
- Customers can cancel free until 24 hours before the scheduled start. Inside that window, 20% of what was collected is retained.
- If a customer is not there for a confirmed appointment and the detailer has documented arrival, 50% of what was collected may be retained. That amount is held for 7 days, during which the customer may dispute it.
- A business that cancels confirmed work at short notice is refunded to the customer in full and may have its ranking or account standing affected.
Fees and payouts (business accounts)
- MotoMynt retains a platform commission of 15% of each job payment. Tips are excluded.
- Payouts are made through Stripe Connect to the account you provide. You must complete Stripe's identity and banking checks before you can be paid.
- Funds for completed work are released to you once the customer approves, or automatically 48 hours after completion if they do not respond.
- You are responsible for reporting and paying your own taxes on what you earn.
What you agree not to do
- Take payment off-platform for work arranged through MotoMynt.
- Misrepresent your identity, your business, your licensing or your insurance.
- Post reviews that are not from a genuine completed booking.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use, or content that identifies a third party without their agreement.
- Interfere with the service, scrape it, or attempt to access accounts that are not yours.
Disputes between users
Disagreements about the quality or completion of work are between the customer and the detailing business. MotoMynt provides a dispute process, holds the disputed funds while it runs, and will make a good-faith determination based on the evidence both sides submit — including the arrival and completion photos the app requires.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is engaged in fraud, or that puts other users at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why.
Disclaimers and liability
MotoMynt is provided as-is. We do not warrant the quality, safety or legality of work performed by any detailing business on the platform. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MotoMynt is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the amount paid for that booking.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are posted here with a new effective date, and we will ask you to agree again in the app before you continue.
